NARA’s licensing and regulatory curriculum is designed to support the development and success of professionals across all levels of the human care licensing field. Grounded in both research and real-world practice, our curriculum helps ensure a consistent, informed, and equitable approach to regulation nationwide.

What the Curriculum Includes

Developed by licensing experts, regulators, and subject matter professionals, this curriculum includes structured learning modules focused on key areas such as:

  • Risk assessment and decision-making
  • Family and provider engagement
  • Equity and trauma-informed practice in regulation

All content is evidence-based and regulator-informed, ensuring practical application and alignment with current standards in the field.

Credentialing & CEUs

The NRPC training program is an online, self-paced training consisting of four courses. Successful completion of the NRPC training program, includes the requirements listed below:

Please complete the following NRPC requirements:
  • A passing score of 75 percent or higher.
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from a supervisor confirming the candidate is in good standing and demonstrates key performance skills for his or her regulatory responsibilities. This must be submitted through the linked Survey Monkey page by the supervisor.

  • Submit a signed pledge to follow the NARA Code of Ethics.
