CredentialingNARA National Regulatory Professional Credential (NRPC)
The only national certification for human care licensors The National Association for Regulatory Administration (NARA) National Regulatory Professional Credential (NRPC) is designed to recognize the competencies required of a professional in the human care licensing field. Please review the NARA NRPC Policy for full details on credentialing and renewal.You will receive your login credentials 7-10 business days after your payment has posted. NARA National Regulatory Professional Credential (NRPC) Requirements:1. Complete the following courses from the NARA Curriculum, either online or face-to-face:

2. Pass the NARA comprehensive exam with a minimum score of 75.
Retaking the comprehensive exam: NARA Credential Exam 2nd Retake
A candidate must wait 15 days after the first attempt and will be charged $25 to take the exam a second time.
NARA Credential Exam 3rd Retake
A candidate must wait 30 days after the second attempt and will be charged $50 to take the exam a third, and final time. If the candidate does not pass the comprehensive exam after the third attempt, he or she may petition for additional attempts.

Optional Distinction: Awarding the Credential
National Regulatory Professional Credential (NRPC) - Renewal RequirementsThe Candidate must submit the following to NARA within 60 days from their expiration of the NRPC. 1. Documentation of 30 clock hours of education submitted to [email protected], completed within the past five years.
2. Submit a letter of recommendation from a supervisor confirming the candidate is in good standing and demonstrates key performance skills for his or her regulatory responsibilities, and attesting to the candidate’s completion of the 30 clock hours of education. If not directly employed in human care licensing, a letter of recommendation from an individual who can attest to the candidate’s demonstration of key regulatory performance skills may be submitted.
3. Submit a signed pledge to follow the NARA Code of Ethics.

Optional Distinction: Awarding the Re-CredentialIf a candidate has allowed the credential to expire, he or she may renew the credential within 90 calendar days of the expiration date by meeting all of the renewal requirements and paying a $100 non-refundable re-activation fee, in addition to the renewal fee outlined in the renewal requirements. Failure to renew the credential within the 90-day grace period will result in the candidate being required to earn the initial credential.
