Licensing Workload Assessment

The Licensing Workload Assessment webinar will provide an overview of the tool developed by NARA to help agencies calculate their workload. The NARA Best Practices for Human Care Regulations includes Standard 2.1.4 and encourages agencies to conduct licensing workload assessments at least every five years to meet the standard. Each organization should set effective workload standards through a systematic examination of how key workload variables drive staffing needs. This tool helps agencies meet this standard. Through the use of historical data to identify types of programs, types of activities, and time to conduct each activity, agencies can calculate the appropriate number of FTE (full time equivalent) positions needed to adequately staff regulatory programs. The Licensing Workload Assessment Executive Summary is posted on the NARA website, which highlights the key areas of the assessment. This webinar will walk through each step of the assessment to explain how to conduct the workload assessment. There will be opportunities to ask questions.
